MA. Art Psychotherapist

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art as part of the communication process. Creating a safe space to explore difficult emotions.

About me

Confidential and without judgement

I am an English speaking Art Psychotherapist based in Paris. I graduated with a Masters in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2018. I have since worked with adolescents and adults within NHS mental health services both in inpatient and community services.

I am now working privately in Paris and offer individual Art Psychotherapy sessions for adolescents and adults as well as consultations for professionals working in schools and mental health services.

My practice is orientated by a psychodynamic approach, working with projections and transference as well as attachment based theories and incorporating client-centred approaches such as mindfulness and mentalization.

Services

Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative art making as a tool for communication and expression in order to explore and gain understanding of difficult emotions and/ or circumstances. Through the therapy, the client is assisted in working with difficult feelings and finding ways to overcome, or live with obstacles.

Art therapy is not an activity or art lesson and clients do not need previous experience or expertise in art making.

Clients may have a wide range of difficulties, disabilities or diagnoses. These include emotional, behavioural or mental health problems, learning or physical disabilities, life-limiting conditions, neurological conditions and physical illnesses.
